Step 1: Connect your emails account

The first thing to do before starting to create campaigns is to connect the email addresses.

Without email addresses, there are no send-outs, no send-outs mean no responses, no responses mean no customers. 😉

👉 Connect the sending email account to Mailead.

1️⃣ Navigate to “Email Account” Section

2️⃣ Click on the "Connect Email" button

3️⃣ Choose your provider

1.1 Connect Google Account

Before anything else, we must enable IMAP; without it, the connection will be impossible.

Enable IMAP

💡 Quick Info: IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) allows you to access your emails from any device without the need to download them first. It ensures your inbox remains synchronized across all your devices.

1️⃣ Open your Gmail account in the browser.

2️⃣ Click on "Settings" in the top right corner

3️⃣ Click the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab

4️⃣ In the "IMAP access" section, select Enable IMAP

5️⃣ Click Save Changes:

Choose your Google account type.

👉 Free Gmail Account

Before creating a password for Mailead, IMAP has been enabled through all email.

We will only need to create a password:

You can access this link directly here

Or follow this step by step:

1️⃣ Click on Profile Picture

2️⃣ Click on Manage your Google Account

3️⃣ Go on Security Section

4️⃣ Click on “2-Step Verification”

5️⃣ Go to App passwords tab and Click on “App passwords”

8️⃣ Add app name “Mailead”

9️⃣ Click on “Create” button

8️⃣ An app-specific password will be generated. Please copy this password as Mailead will request it. After copying the password, you can click on "Done”

👉 Go back to Mailead

9️⃣ After adding your sending email account, paste the password you recently generated

🔟 Click on “Add email”

And voilà 🔥 your email is now set up in Mailead and ready for use.

⚠️ Be cautious:

Google imposes strict limits on free Gmail accounts to prevent them from being used for cold emailing. Their algorithms are effective at monitoring account usage. Conversely, G Suite accounts are subject to more lenient regulations. We recommend using G-Suite or Microsoft accounts for cold emailing. This issue is common across the industry, and even using other platforms or manual methods won't circumvent these limitations

👉 Workspace/G-Suite

Before generating a password for Mailead, ensure that IMAP is enabled across all email accounts.

1.2 Connecter Outlook/Microsoft

To link an Outlook/Microsoft account to Mailead you must enable both IMAP and SMTP. Connecting only SMTP for sending emails is not allowed because our warmup involves a peer-to-peer network of genuine accounts that require the ability to both send and receive emails.

1️⃣ Enable SMTP

👉 Check out the official Microsoft guide for activating SMTP on your account (if not already enabled).

👉 For Outlook accounts through GoDaddy, consult their step-by-step guide on enabling SMTP authentication.

2️⃣ Enable IMAP

👉 Here is a guide for enabling IMAP on your O365 account, if it's not already active.

👉 For IMAP settings applicable to O365/Microsoft accounts, including those from GoDaddy, refer to this resource.

Go back to Mailead

1️⃣ Select “Connect an Outlook Account”

2️⃣ Add your Email address

3️⃣ Click on “Next”

Step 2: Warmup your emails

💡Quick info: Warmup emails are important because they help improve your email account's reputation. When you start sending emails from a new account or after a long break, email providers might be suspicious of sudden activity. By sending a few emails gradually and increasing the amount over time, you show that you’re using your email responsibly. This builds trust, reduces the chances of your emails being marked as spam, and ensures they reach the recipients' inboxes more reliably.

👉 Enable Warmup

With Mailead is really simple you only need to:

1️⃣ Go to “Email Account” Section

2️⃣ Click on the flame icon labeled "empty" to activate the warmup feature.

3️⃣ Click on the flame icon labeled "filled" to pause the warmup.

👉 Warmup Settings

The settings will already be set by default:

  • Daily Limit: 10 emails per day

  • Reply Rate: 30%

If you wish to change these settings, simply click directly on the email row to open a window.

👉 Click directly on the Email row

👉 Click on the "Warmup" option and access the settings.

👉 Click on the "Save" button.

Step 3: Create Campaigns

1️⃣ Go to Dashboard and click on “Create a campaign”

1️⃣ Or Go to “Campaigns” Section

2️⃣ Click on the “New Campaign” button

3️⃣ Name your campaign

4️⃣ Click on “Continue”

5️⃣ Upload verified leads

It's really simple and quick, taking no more than a minute 😃

👉 You have the option to upload a list or add entries manually:

If you choose to upload a list, the only thing you have to do is match your columns.

When you upload a new lead list, Mailead will verify & ensure optimal deliverability by applying filters:

  • Duplicates, syntactically incorrect addresses

  • Invalid domains, domains without valid MX records

  • Leads that are in you Global Block List

6️⃣ Create the Email Sequence

With Mailead, you can either create using our AI or do it yourself.

If you choose to create your sequence with AI, simply fill in the fields and click on generate. Your steps will be automatically generated using the correct variables from your uploaded file.

However, if you prefer to create your sequence yourself, simply click on "Create Manually" and boom, you can start writing your sequence. You can add as many steps as you want and also set up A/B testing to try different types of messages.

👉 Schedule when you will send your emails

You need to choose:

7️⃣ The days on which emails will be sent (For example, if you contact your lead on Sunday while they're at the beach 😛, they might never see your message. Avoid this mistake!)

8️⃣ The time (Sending your emails at the wrong times can cause them to get buried in your target's inbox, reducing the chances of them being opened and receiving replies)

9️⃣ Choose the email accounts

Select the email accounts to be used for sending emails. If you choose more than one, we will apply automatic email rotation. This feature is our superpower and allows you to send a large volume of emails without landing in spam.

👉Setup Settings

🔟 Choose the number of emails to send from each account. If you're just starting with these accounts, we recommend sending a maximum of 30 emails per day.

👉Choose if you want to send with text-only (no HTML)

This feature improves deliverability but removes HTML styling and disables link and open tracking.

👉 Setting up Advanced options

Choose Time Gap between Emails

As mentioned earlier, sending too many emails too quickly can result in them being marked as spam.

Therefore, we recommend a minimum gap of 7 minutes between emails, plus an additional random delay of up to 2 minutes to improve deliverability.

Launch Campaign

Sooo that's it! You're all set.

1️⃣ Don't forget to save

2️⃣ Now you can launch your campaign safely 🥳
