Email service providers (ESPs) are increasingly vigilant about monitoring and limiting email automation to maintain the integrity of their platforms. If your email accounts have been suspended or flagged, it’s essential to understand the root cause and take the necessary precautions.
Why Email Accounts May Get Suspended
Many ESPs, such as Titan, have strict protocols to detect and block potential automation abuses. One common reason for suspensions is unusual spikes in IP addresses accessing and sending emails from your account. Mailead's system uses a serverless architecture, which means:
IP Address Rotation: Our system rotates IP addresses to optimize email delivery. However, this can trigger detection mechanisms in some ESPs, resulting in account suspension or flagging.
Recommendations to Prevent Email Account Suspensions
To minimize the risk of your email accounts being suspended, we suggest the following best practices:
Use Reliable ESPs:
Gmail and Outlook are the most reliable ESPs for cold email outreach. They offer higher deliverability rates and have more lenient automation policies compared to smaller providers like Titan.
Avoid using less common ESPs that have strict automation detection algorithms. We are compiling a list of known restrictive ESPs to help guide your choices.
Email Warm-Up:
It’s crucial to warm up your email accounts before launching your full campaign. Mailead provides automated email warm-up settings, but ensure your emails remain within safe limits.
We recommend warming up your accounts for at least two weeks and sending small, incremental batches.
Understand IP Address Rotation:
With a serverless sending system, the rotation of IP addresses is standard. Unfortunately, we cannot control these IPs, and this practice can trigger some ESPs’ defenses. Be mindful of this if you are using ESPs that monitor IP address behavior.
What to Do if Your Email Account Is Suspended
Reach Out to Your ESP: If your email account is suspended, contact your provider immediately and follow the steps they suggest for account recovery.
Consider Switching Providers: If you frequently encounter issues, consider using Gmail or Outlook for better deliverability and fewer restrictions.
Adjust Your Automation Settings: Reduce sending frequency or adjust your campaign settings to ensure your email activity appears more natural.
